In loving memory
Bonnie J Ross
December 23, 1940 – August 17, 2026
Muskego, Wisconsin
Bonnie Jean Ross passed away comfortably at home, surrounded by the love of her daughter and best friend, Julie, and her grandchildren AJ and Sydney.
Bonnie was the loving mother of John (Amy), Julie, Dan (Kara), David (Meg), and Susan. She was a deeply loved grandmother to Sydney (Mark), Trevor, Tanya (Brad), AJ (amber), Jordan (Kendall), Amber, Hannah, Karen, Emily, Carter, and Kevin, and great grandmother to Roman, Iris, Taylor (Thor), Reilly, Bo, Madelyn, and Baby “Megatron”.
Bonnie now joins in heaven her beloved husband, John Ross; her daughter, Susan Ross; and her grandson, Trevor Hampton. Knowing they are together again brings comfort to those who love them and continue to miss them.
Bonnie and John shared more than 52 years of marriage and a lifetime of adventures. They often told their children that on their wedding day, they had exactly 34¢ in their bank account and they were driving a borrowed convertible, as they didn’t even own a car of their own. But they couldn’t have been happier as they began their life together. Over the years, their adventures included spending 20 years in Florida, traveling across the United States in their motor home, and creating countless memories along the way. Bonnie carried those memories and stories with her throughout her life, sharing them often with the people she loved.
Family was Bonnie’s world. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She was the kind of person you could sit and talk with for hours, and she made friends wherever she went. Her warmth, humor, and genuine interest in the lives of others made people feel welcomed and loved. Bonnie was incredibly proud of her family and loved sharing stories about their lives and adventures. Whether she was retelling John and Dan’s gold-mining adventures, sharing updates on Mark’s latest home projects, or talking about Sydney becoming a loving aunt to Laykelyn, Bonnie always spoke about her family with pride and joy.
Bonnie held an especially important place in the lives of Sydney and Trevor. After the loss of their mother, Susan, Bonnie helped raise Sydney and Trevor alongside Julie. She gave them the love, comfort, guidance, and stability only an extraordinary grandmother could provide. Her role in their lives went far beyond being a grandma, and the love and sacrifices she gave them will remain an immeasurable part of her legacy.
Bonnie was also the greatest dog caretaker. Her best buddy, Opie, held an especially dear place in her heart, along with Jack and Jill. Bonnie was a caretaker at heart, and was always willing to step in, lend a hand, and do whatever she could to help her family.
Above all else, Bonnie loved her family. She leaves behind a lifetime of stories, laughter, conversations, adventures, and memories that will continue to be shared. She was deeply loved, and she was a true joy to be around. Those who were fortunate enough to know Bonnie were blessed to witness her courage, beauty, and grace throughout her life.
That's what it's all about.
It’s all good here.
